Workshop Description:
Teaching Parenting the Positive Discipline Way (developed by Lynn Lott and Jane Nelsen) is a two-day workshop that provides a step-by-step approach to starting and leading experientially based parenting groups. This program stands alone or offers significant enhancement to any program through experiential activities that reach the heart to inspire deeper understanding and change.
Facilitator Background:
Barbara Kinney, M.A., is a Certified Positive Discipline Lead Trainer, former middle school and high school teacher, trainer in family and classroom life skill and child and adolescent development for over 20 years. Mother of two adult sons and grandmother of two, Barbara brings many years of experience to her programs on child and adolescent development and empowerment.
Cost: Two-day registration fee: $425
Early registration fee: $375 (paid by July 3, 2013)

PLEASE REGISTER EARLY: Occasionally, we have had to cancel classes only to find that they would have filled with the registrations that arrived late. The decision to cancel a workshop because of low enrollment is made two weeks before the date of the workshop. PLEASE BE CAREFUL ABOUT YOUR TRAVEL PLANS UNTIL THEN.
Cancellation/Refund Policy:
Workshop Registrations: A full refund (minus a $35 processing fee) will be given when the request for a refund is made up to 30 days prior to the first day of a workshop. Refunds are not available for cancellations less than 30 days before a workshop. However, paid registrants can transfer to another workshop within one year at no additional cost. Refunds are not available after a transfer is made or if you do not provide advanced notice that you will not be attending the workshop.
CEU’S/CONTACT HOURS: Course meets qualifications for 14 hrs. Continuing Education credit for MFTs and/or LCSW’s as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences, Provider # PCE 3902.
