Positive Discipline in the Classroom (developed by Lynn Lott and Jane Nelsen) is a whole school community based, campus-wide program, that focuses on discipline that teaches. It has long-term effectiveness that helps students feel a sense of connection, concern for others, responsibility, and cooperation. Positive Discipline emphasizes intentional focus on school climate, the teaching and role modeling of important social and life skills, finding solutions and positive ways to contribute in the school, home and larger community.

Teresa LaSala, a Certified Positive Discipline Facilitator and Lead Trainer, provides high level training, consultation and ongoing supportive services in public, private, charter and parochial schools throughout the United States and internationally in countries such as Iceland, France, and the UK. She has facilitated local trainings/workshops drawing school leader participants from around the world i.e.; Egypt, China, Canada, Mexico, Columbia, Switzerland, Saudi Arabia, and Brazil, to name a few.
She has been a member of the Positive Discipline Association’s International Board of Directors since 2004 and regularly facilitates Positive Discipline in the School and Classroom and Parenting with Positive Discipline workshops and certification training's for the Positive Discipline Association.
Teresa is a Whole Child Faculty Member - Regional Specialist for ASCD (an educational leadership organization). She serves as a School Culture and Climate Initiative Coordinator with The United Way of Northern New Jersey/Collage of St. Elizabeth’s’ Youth Empowerment Alliance Program; and has received an award from the NJ State Department of Education, as part of a team, for implementing a “Role Model SEL and Character Education Program” (based on the Positive Discipline Whole School Model). She is a licensed nurse with 23 years of experience in the areas of Family and Pediatric Care, Child Development, and General Medicine.
Teresa resides in Denville, NJ with her husband Jim and 2 daughters, Meaghan and Lauren, who have been her greatest joy and teachers.

Workshop Registrations: A full refund (minus a $35 processing fee) will be given when the request for a refund is made up to 30 days prior to the first day of a workshop. Refunds are not available for cancellations less than 30 days before a workshop. However, paid registrants can transfer to another workshop within one year at no additional cost. Refunds are not available after a transfer is made or if you do not provide advanced notice that you will not be attending the workshop.
Special Events, Teleconferences and Merchandise: For all other items or events, the processing fee will be 10% of the purchase price or a minimum of $5. Otherwise, the same policy applies.
