English-Chinese TP: This three-day English-Chinese bilingual workshop is designed for Parent Educators, Counselors and Parents to gain information and skills to become “Certified Positive Discipline Parent Educators.” You will learn research based strategies and tools to help parents and how to facilitate experiential activities in group and individual settings.

If you are new to Positive Discipline: In order to maximize your learning, we highly recommend that you do the following :
Read one (or more) of the following books and summarize what you have learned in an essay (suggest 1500 words).

After the training, we will support you (at no charge) in your Positive Discipline journey over the coming months by providing ongoing feedback, encouragement and mentoring. To facilitate this, we ask that you do the following:
Write a reflection of the training and your PD experience so far. We will offer a few questions at the training to guide you through your reflection. Submit the reflection within 30 days after the training. Your facilitators will offer feedback and mentoring based on the reflection, and issue your certificate.
Participate in the monthly on-line group mentoring via Skype, which will be offered for a 3-month period after course completion.
Waived fee for one year for joining China PD Association.
Who Should Participate: Parent educators, therapists, teachers, counselors, administrators, psychologists, nurses, aides, paraprofessionals, youth workers, and program providers who work with young people in group settings.
Lynn Lott - Co-founder of the PDA, Lott has been teaching, training, and counseling others in PD and Adlerian Psychology for over 40 years. She has two children, two step-children, six grandchildren and has been happily married to Hal Penny for 27 years.
She and Jane Nelsen have co-authored PD books, the Teaching Parenting Manual, and numerous products that have helped spread PD around the world.
Alicia Wang - A Positive Discipline Certified Trainer from China, Wang has been teaching over a dozen parenting classes including the teen parenting class. She also worked with Lynn Lott designing Solving the Mystery of Parenting Teens class. She has done much to promote Positive Discipline in China including translating the PD workbook, being Jane Nelsen’s translator in Jane’s public presentation, etc. She has an 18-year old daughter and a 5 years-old son.
