    Lois Ingber is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Positive Discipline Lead Trainer with 30+ years experience providing counseling, coaching and consulting services for families, schools, and in the wider community. Lois is a frequent presenter at conferences and workshops in the U.S. and China sharing Positive Discipline and other applications of Adlerian Psychology, She is co-author with Jody McVittie, MD, CPDLT of "BRIDGES - Building Relationships for Improved Discipline, academics Gains and Effective Schools."

    Mary Nelsen Tamborski is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Certified Positive Discipline Trainer. Following in the footsteps of her mother, Positive Discipline author Jane Nelsen, Mary brings the unique perspective of having been raised with the tools of PD. She is a sought after keynote speaker and workshop presenter. Mary is co-author with her mother of the "Keeping the Joy in Marriage Tool Cards," and the just released "Positive Discipline Parenting Tools" with her mother and brother, Brad Ainge.

    Workshop Descriptions: 
    This two-day interactive workshop is designed for teachers, counselors, school staff and administrators who want an effective discipline approach that integrates social and emotional learning while reducing challenging student behaviors. Attendees will earn recognition as a Certified Positive Discipline Classroom Educator and will learn to: 

    1. Develop a large teaching toolbox of kind and firm discipline approaches. 
    2. Establish explicit classroom structures and procedures. 
    3. Create an equitable classroom community based on mutual respect. 
    4. Understand the motivation behind students' misbehavior and how to encourage positive change. 
    5. Facilitate effective class meetings teaching social skills and problem-solving. 
    6. Learn Positive Discipline/Adlerian Psychology for use in the classroom and school community. 
    7. Gain information on how to address the effects of childhood trauma and insecure attachment. 

    Cost: $375 early registration, available until December16, 2016 $425 regular registration. Three (3) or more registering together take $25 off each. Limit 35.

    3. Gain practice with experiential exercises that help parents go beyond intellectual understanding to be able to respond in empowering ways that teach children.
    4. Learn how to use materials and activities in group settings, parenting classes and individual work with families.
    Cost: $375 early registration (received and paid by December 20, 2016),  $425 regular registration.  3+ registering together, take $40 off each registration fee.

    Cathy Kawakami is a Certified Positive Discipline Trainer from San Jose, CA. She offers Positive Discipline training for parents and schools who are looking for an effective discipline approach that integrates social and emotional learning while reducing challenging behaviors. She has been working with schools in the US and abroad for over 10 years. Cathy specializes in parent participation and cooperative school programs and has additional training in early childhood education. She is passionate about sharing Positive Discipline with others and improving relationships for all. She and her husband Stan are the parents of 13 and 16 year old daughters.     Workshop Descriptions:
    This two-day interactive workshop is designed for teachers, counselors, school staff and administrators who want an effective discipline approach that integrates social and emotional learning while reducing challenging student behaviors. Attendees will earn recognition as a Certified Positive Discipline Classroom Educator and will learn to:
    1. Develop a large teaching toolbox of kind and firm discipline approaches.
    2. Establish explicit classroom structures and procedures.
    3. Create an equitable classroom community based on mutual respect.
    4. Understand the motivation behind students' misbehavior and how to encourage positive change.
    5. Facilitate effective class meetings teaching social skills and problem-solving.
    6. Learn Positive Discipline/Adlerian Psychology for use in the classroom and school community.
    7. Gain information on how to address the effects of childhood trauma and insecure attachment.

    Cost: $375 early registration, available until June 25, 2017. $425 regular registration. Four (4) or more registering together take $50 off the fee. Limit 24.

    CES: The Positive Discipline Association has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider. ACEP No. 6723. This program also is co-sponsored by the North American Society of Adlerian Psychology (NASAP). NASAP is approved by the American Psychological Association to offer continuing education for Psychologists.
