Jody Malterre, MAEd has enjoyed working as a Positive Discipline Trainer, a Montessori teacher trainer and a school consultant for over 20 years. She holds a certificate in Adlerian Studies and currently is serving as a Co-Board Chair for the Positive Discipline Association and as a Co-Chair of the Educators Section of North American Adlerian Society of Adlerian Psychologists (NASAP). When she is not traveling for work, she loves spending time with her husband in her home town of Boise, ID and finding new delights in her new role of being a parent to her two adult daughters.
Dodie Blomberg, M.Ed is passionate about helping people improve their lives through crea8ng respec9ul rela8onships in their families, schools and communi8es. She taught 5th grade in Tempe, Arizona for 12 years. She is a Lead Trainer for the Posi8ve Discipline Associa8on and an Adler Trained Coach. She facilitates Posi8ve Discipline Workshops and trainings all over Arizona, the United States and online! She has also had the amazing opportunity to facilitate trainings in various ci8es all over China for the past 4 years. She is most proud of her two children, Colton 25, and Cassidy 22.
This is an online interactive workshop designed for parent educators, teachers, therapists, childcare professionals and others who want an effective discipline approach. This method is based on Adlerian Psychology and integrates social and emotional learning while reducing challenging behaviors. Successful participants will earn recognition as a Certified Positive Discipline Parent Educator and will:
We will meet for 3 weeks in a row on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6 online classes total.
- Learn research based and effective tools and techniques for teaching parents how to use discipline that is kind and firm at the same time (non-punitive, non-permissive)
- Learn how to facilitate a parent class from the position of a non-expert and gain practice with experiential exercises that help parents go beyond intellectual understanding to be able to respond in empowering ways that teach children.
- Learn how to use materials and activities in group settings, parenting classes and individual work with families.
Cost: $375 Early Registration, available until 08/01/2020. $425 Regular Registration. Limit 30.

The Positive Discipline Association is pleased to provide the opportunity for educators to earn graduate-level university credit. Whether you attend one of our live workshops or participate in an online workshop, you may choose to earn 1 to 4 non-degree credits. These credits are for licensure renewal and salary step increases only. The cost of graduate-level credit is separate from the workshop registration fee. Click Here for more information.
Positive Discipline Association courses approved for Graduate-Level Semester Credits through University of the Pacific will appear on an Official Transcript with a letter grade.

Cancellation/Refund Policy: Workshop Registrations: A full refund (minus a $35 processing fee) will be given when the request for a refund is made up to 30 days prior to the first day of a workshop. Refunds are not available for cancellations less than 30 days before a workshop. However, paid registrants can transfer to another workshop within one year at no additional cost. Refunds are not available after a transfer is made or if you do not provide advanced notice that you will not be attending the workshop.
In the event of cancellation, participants will be notified by email.
