Cost: €440 Early Registration, available until 10/30/2026. €499 Regular Registration. Group discount: €50 off pp for groups of four or more registering together. Registration limit: 30 participants.

Facilitator Information: Fionnuala Hoffmann is a Certified Positive Discipline Trainer, holds a BA. degree in psychology, a certificate in Adlerian counseling and has over 20 years teaching experience. Fionnuala has been leading Positive Discipline training workshops for ten years, is co-founder and chairperson of the German Association of Positive Discipline Educators.(PDaD) and was responsible for overseeing the publication of 'Positive Discipline' in German in 2024. Her work is informed by ongoing training in Adlerian Psychology and trauma-informed educational approaches. Originally from Ireland Fionnuala lives in Berlin with her German husband and their three sons. More info at www.parentingtools.de

Chrysanthi Golfinopoulos, M.Ed, M.Sc, has more than 25 years of experience in education. Originally from Montreal, Canada, she has been living in Germany for the past 13 years with her husband and two children, 13 and 15. Chrysanthi is an experienced school counsellor and currently works at the International School of Düsseldorf as an EAL (English as an Additional Language) teacher for the senior school and is also a grade 7 Advisory teacher. She has been a PDA-certified facilitator since 2021 with the Positive Discipline Association and her goal is to help teachers and parents create a supportive and respectful environment for children at school and at home.


Workshop Description:  This two-day interactive workshop is designed for teachers, counselors, school staff and administrators who want an effective discipline approach that integrates social and emotional learning while reducing challenging student behaviors. Attendees will earn recognition as a Certified Positive Discipline Classroom Educator and will learn to: 

  1. Develop a large teaching toolbox of kind and firm discipline approaches. 
  2. Establish explicit classroom structures and procedures. 
  3. Create an equitable classroom community based on mutual respect. 
  4. Understand the motivation behind students' misbehavior and how to encourage positive change. 
  5. Facilitate effective class meetings teaching social skills and problem-solving. 
  6. Learn Positive Discipline/Adlerian Psychology for use in the classroom and school community.

Whether you attend one of our live workshops or participate in an online workshop, you may choose to earn 1 to 4 non-degree credits. These credits are for licensure renewal and salary step increases only. The cost of graduate-level credit is separate from the workshop registration fee. Click Here for more information.

Positive Discipline Association courses approved for Graduate-Level Semester Credits through University of the Pacific will appear on an Official Transcript with a letter grade.


Cancellation/Refund Policy: Workshop Registrations: A full refund (minus a $35 processing fee) will be given when the request for a refund is made up to 30 days prior to the first day of a workshop. Refunds are not available for cancellations less than 30 days before a workshop. However, paid registrants can transfer to another workshop within one year at no additional cost. Refunds are not available after a transfer is made or if you do not provide advanced notice that you will not be attending the workshop. 

In the event of cancellation, participants will be notified by email.
