Session Title: Parenting in a World of AI and Technology - An Adlerian Approach


Session Description 

This session will explore the world of technology and AI through an Adlerian lens. It will expand on the ways that technology can connect communities and growth as well as the ways it can increase distance and discouragement. It will also look at how to teach and promote technological safety and best practices among digital natives. Lastly, the session will cover how to have conversations around technology, AI, and the digital space.


Learning Objectives


Participants will be able to:

  1. Demonstrate an understanding of the advantages and disadvantages of technology and AI.
  2. Apply skills when working with parents and families around technology usage and AI.


Presenter Bio 
Constance is a clinical psychologist. She received her PsyD in clinical psychology from Adler University in 2021 with an emphasis in Advanced Adlerian Psychotherapy. She has a passion for clinical work and social activism and has rooted her clinical practice within this intersection.  She focuses on supporting individuals who struggle with symptoms of anxiety, depression, and trauma through an Adlerian lens. One of her specialties is incorporating a holistic approach into her work through the use of technology, pop culture, and fandoms. She has a passion for making the work and psychological information accessible and easy to understand for all individuals, and loves to connect with others and present.

Continuing Education Credits

1.5 CE credits for this session. The Positive Discipline Association has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider. ACEP No. 6723.
